The World in Three Days

It is important to be fit. This means to have a healthy diet. There a still some controversy about dieting.

It has come to our attention that doctors are in dispute with dieticians who advise about ways to be slimmer while eating with a good judgement. It is easy to guess where the problem is because of the word diet.

In fact, there are not many people who want to hear about people on  a diet. It sounds as if there are people who have a body image problem. What is the ideal weight and height that is the real issue?

The scientist thinks that for example if you are 180 cm you have to way 70 kilos in fact it is 80 kilos. Nobody knows where this lack of research comes from.

Some populations weigh more for instance where they eat many fish. That is why many writings have been done on the Middle East where the tradition is fish once a week mostly on Friday as well on the Mediterranean Sea where there are many fishermen from Portugal.  The tradition in Lebanon is to give the dowry to the bride’s parents in gold weighed according to her weight.  So, probably that is why couples who are fit last forever.

In France, the problem of Brittany is linked to the food produce.  Brittany used to be the reservoir of food in Europe. That is where the first middle class population appeared with industry based on food produce mostly cabbage, fish and pork.  The main problem remains the body image aspect. The more you are slimmer the more you have power but the problem is when a thin person is considered slim. This also means to be careful not to be persecuted because of the slim shape of your body.  It is not good to get into this discussion because this is where the question of democracy takes all its meaning. There are still problems in Greece and Italy where the words democracy and republic respectively come from. Greece is considered more like a agricultural society where is Italy is more like a city society. So, this is all the question about peace and development.
