Capturing wild animals from its natural habitat is an exotic game for the hunters. Read to find out the hunting methods and tips for hunting.

Capturing wild animals from its natural habitat is an exotic game for the hunters. Some hunters dedicate their lives for capturing some of the rarest wildlife from its habitat. An ecological or environmental area that is inhabited or the area that surrounds or utilized by a particular species of animal or other organisms is called a habitat. The capturing of wildlife from a habitat starts the destruction process of habitat and reduces the biodiversity and let the species lost its site displaced or destroyed.

Capturing wildlife has many complications on the nature and public awareness campaigns should be initiated to benefit the endangered animals.

Following are some of the methods you can use to capture wildlife from its habitat.

1.        Cap-Chur Equipment

This was developed with aim of aid in disease research and wildlife conservation.  This can be used to capture animals by tranquilization and immobilization of any animal from distances up to eighty meters. It is safe for hunter because the proximity to animal is less. The animal is safe with fewer injuries during the capture. This system uses a unique automatic syringe, propelled by a gas or powder powered projector and an operator may propel 1ml (cc) to 20ml (cc) of any tranquilization liquid to an animal and have the syringe inject the liquid into the animal upon contact. The development of this equipment makes it no longer necessary to pursue and restrain animals for capturing.

2.       Animal trapping

Trapping is perhaps one of the first methods of hunting with the use of a device to remotely catch an animal. It is very efficient, safe and inexpensive but requires time and energy. Animals may get injuries when it is trapped. Traps can be divided into six types: foothold traps, body gripping traps, snares, trapping pit, cages and glue traps. For attracting animals to the traps food items liked by the species to be captured is kept near the trap or inside the cage trap.

Foothold traps may cause injuries to the wildlife captured while cage trap reduces the chances of injury. Body gripping or conibear traps are designed to kill the trapped animal quickly. So it is not recommended for capturing wildlife as you will not get the animal with life. Deadfall traps also kills the animal so this one is also not recommended. A deadfall trap is a heavy rock or log that is tilted on an angle and held up with sections of sticks and one of them serves as a trigger when touched by the animal. Snares are anchored cable or wires set to catch wild animals and this one also kills the animal trapped. Trapping pits are deep pits dug into the ground in order to trap animals without harming them.
