Tropical Rain Forests

See the wonders that lie within a tropical rain forest.

Tropical rain forests are very diverse biomes with a potential of being very useful. Many people don’t realize how much we actually need them. Tropical rain forest trees intake the majority of carbon dioxide we exhale and produce most of the oxygen we inhale. As loggers cut them down for their lumber, it is only hurting the atmosphere as well as the biome even more. Deforestation of tropical rain forests releases tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, damaging the ozone and contributing to global warming.

A really shocking fact is that many disease and  possibly cancer curing plants grow within tropical rain forests, but are being depleted as the forests are being destroyed. These plants can be used for medical reasons, but we haven’t had the time to see the effects of these plant species before they’re being destroyed. We really need to conserve these forests so that they can help providing our oxygen and continue taking in our carbon dioxide. Keeping tropical rain forests around is very beneficial to our environment.
