The World Arms Trade and its true role in the world.

The Arms trade is a global source of income for wealthy industries and country facilities. These so called “defence industries” produce over 1 trillion dollars a year on the world market. In our modern world today, it seems that actions speak louder than words with, world dominating countries in industrial weapon making, have caused the arms trade to have got out of control.

Countries that produce these weapons only have one thing in mind and that is revenue or income. Major producing countries of this arm trade are U.S.A, China, Russia, France and Britain, all in turn have played a major part in recent wars and gained a monopoly on it weapons because of it.

These countries that now need other income source rather than domestic purchases are now targeting poorer countries which are developing. With the continuous buying of weapons through-out the world it is now reaching a “Cold war standard.”

These poorer countries buying weapons from major countries, which are usually for rebellions or revolutions, which kill a lot of innocent people of these countries. The Major countries know what they are doing and continue to push more armed weapons to 3rd world countries, which may need guns and ammunition that are under a dictatorship or massive national rioting forces, where the Government has no military or political control over what happens.

These Major countries only have themselves at heart and will not recognise what they are doing, considering they are supplying globally, and these weapons can and will harm people, for why-else would they need to buy weapons. However what the Major Countries cannot see for example, The U.S supplies weapons to 3rd world countries, but once this issue is out of control, attacks or invasions occur in the country like Iraq, the U.S military are the first to get on the war wagon to help out.

So the U.S have basically supplied an unstable group with U.S equipment to make this event occur and then the U.S come and gets shot by their own weapons? This is the result of what happens when leading economical and stable countries supply weapons to 3rd world countries that are unstable. Why? because once countries start invading, they need to put down the threat, and therefore production rises to meet the demand of the both military might’s and hence the rise of income.

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its labourers, the genius of its scientists, and the hopes of its children… This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.”

This Quote was by The Former U.S. President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, in a speech on April 16, 1953

As he realizes and many other people, Government’s are no longer interested in helping other countries in need of help. Instead they should be spending the money in further provisions of food and clean water, keeping people clothed, cheap and affective medical attention and the up keep of social justices. The globally leading countries are no longer thinking about the entirety of mankind but only themselves.
