The move came after a UN report which condemned the excessive use of force by Israel against a fleet of Gaza aid.

Reported previously, the formation of the UN investigation team concluded that the Israeli use of force “excessive” to the fleet assistance (flotilla) into Gaza in May 2010. The incident killed nine pro-Palestinian activists, mostly Turkish citizens.
Other findings are a number of casualties suffered gunshot wounds from behind and at close range. Meanwhile, activists who survived the so-called treated “rough” from the Israelis.
The investigation team led by former New Zealand Prime Minister Geoffrey Palmer was also concluded that the flotilla led by Mavi Marmara were wanton with trying to penetrate the sea by the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
