U.S Rethinks Roles Of Marriage.

Os so the question here is that Washington wants to know is marriage becoming obsolete? As the families gather for Thanksgiving most of these families have children living with a parent who is divorced, separated or never-married.  There are more and more people that are accepting the fact  that getting married just isn’t needed to have a family. There is a recent jump in unmarried couples living together, There is about 29% of children under  the age of 18 now live with a parent or parents who are unwed or no longer married. This is a big increase from 1960, If we break it down even further about 15% of children have parents who are divorced or separated and 14% who were never married, there’s also 6% of children who have live in couples who raise kids together without getting married. Beginning next year it is said that  the Census Bureau will publish a new supplemental poverty figures that include unmarried couples such as same-sex partners, as well as foster children who are not related by blood or adoption. This what should have been done in the first place, not only think of a family in one way but thinking out side the box. There are many people that need to rethink what family means we all need to accept cohabitation relationships as a basis for some of the benefits offered to families such as health insurance. Don’t worry the study show that marriage isn’t going to disappear anytime soon and that’s a good thing I am sure there are many people who wouldn’t want it to disappear, we would just like Washington to open there minds and look out side the box. Plus there are people out there that would like to get married when the time is write for them.
