Understanding
The truth is to understand begins with knowledge; so why do so many people that do understand can’t communicate their understanding properly with others without malignant slander? What is the point of slander?
A great debate is one that discusses the pros and cons of the subject topic; not malicious slandering of hundreds or thousands of people trying to understand a situation of something as important as Nuclear Power.
While I admit I prefer Solar Power above all other I also understand the necessity for the use of Nuclear Power; yet I am one of those laymen’s included within the slander and I don’t appreciate it.
I am the true Independent Voter. I don’t vote for any one specific group or organization when I vote. I look for the individuals that have proven past records in the fields they are running for; figuring that they have some strong knowledge of what they need to do for America. Of coarse only a miniscule amount of those I’ve voted for actually get voted into office. If a person is not Democrat or Republican they don’t stand a chance. I will continue to attempt to vote into office those I fell are better suited regardless of their parent backing, but that doesn’t make me an imbecile.
I do believe in preparing for the worse case scenario and hoping for the best. If that means I’m cautious then yes. I’m not afraid of dieing, but I would like to live my life to its fullest possible before I do. I also want to be prepared to be of assistance to others in need should the worse happen and that to me means a lot more then anyone’s petty attitudes based on who has what education.
I also agree with many who have said those living within approximately a thirty (30) mile radius of any existing Nuclear Plant should always be prepared for a worse case scenario. No one can be absolutely sure what might happen or when. This is vitally important to anyone living near a Nuclear Plant in an earthquake prone area. It is no different then living in an area prone to Tornadoes and being prepared or in an area prone to other possible yearly disasters. The fact is you will less likely need the use of the emergency items yearly against a Nuclear Plant problem.
People simply can’t survive well if they are not prepared. While it is excellent to know the worse case scenarios and to be prepared for them, it is also prudent to hope for the best even during an emergency situation. Where there is hope there is life.
