Virginity for Sale

Would you sell your viginity if you still had it? Do you regret loosing yours so cheaply?

Have you heard of the tales of people selling their virginity and claiming they need the fund to pay their fees? Its real and usually those who get involve claim it’s for their education, but realistically what makes the difference between those selling their virginity and prostitutes? They both do their thing; whichever way they did it, it was for money, either as a profession or as a one-time phenomenon occurring in the beginning.

The incidence that even caught everybody’s attention was that of Natalie Dylan (that’s her pseudonym) whose virginity was bid upon in Nevada and she was a Sacramento state graduate, she earned her bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from Sacramento. According to Dylan, she and her sister were forced into the skin trade partly because their stepfather allegedly took out student loans in their names without their permission, leaving them unable to finance their education. That was cool! How about kids like us who hustle through thick and thin time to run through school without considering parents? How about kids like us in the street who don’t even have parents? Boy, it’s difficult to imagine, maybe we should sell our veins to fund our education since virginity will be too small to sell. Does it mean everybody should go on and sell his or her virginity? (Remember that non-virgins can reconstruct theirs) after all its going to make you a lot of money!

The annoying thing about Dylan was that she already have a Bachelor’s degree, and auctioned “her thing” so she could pay for her masters she claimed, that’s total folly. I do know that its nothing in some brothels in Delhi, but this is America, Gods own land, a land I’m still dreaming of, why then will Dylan run such stuffs? Actually I was considering that she wanted name (she didn’t use her name though), ok, fame (fame for folly?) why else will make her bring to naught the dignity of womanhood.

All these get me confused and I ask; is virginity a product of choice or lack of opportunity?

Of course a girl should never be forced to sell herself. That goes without saying and anyone who forces her should be locked up for life.
