Waste Disposal in Developed and Developing Countries

New York
In New York all the rubbish is taken away. Where do they take it I hear you ask? Well it is put on a barge & taken to a landfill site. 700 tons of rubbish is on that barge. This is due to, way too much food packaging.
Canada
In Canada they use a blue box recycling system just like the UK. For those who don’t know it, it’s basically a system where you put glass, paper, plastic and stuff like coke cans to be melted down and used again.
Toxic Waste
Where does it come from? It’s produced by factories creating everyday products such as food and clothing. Many richer countries pay poorer countries to take the toxic waste and endanger their country. But it can make a good business. In Wales, a company is paid to clean it and turn it into raw materials to be used
Africa
In Africa they reuse items or turn them into something new. Once a week a boy comes round to collect items to get them made into new materials. They do this because they can not afford to go out and constantly buy new things.
That pretty much sums up waste disposal and how people deal with it.
