Water: A Preventable Problem?

I would like to share this with you…

This issue is of vital importance today because if we don’t do something now in the 2025, as many recent studies show, it will be late. Only the 3% of the water in the earth fresh water, and man only has access to 1% of that fresh water. The water is vital for mans and for the animals and fields.

UNICEF declares that more than 4000 children die  every day all around the world for lack of access to safe water or appropriate sanitation. This are shocking numbers. In addition the people who hasn’t access to safe water they consume water which is not safe to drink and it can carry diseases and heavy metals. People who consume this kind of water will become ill, and there is a risk of death. So it is important the water quality too. Nowadays the distribution of the fresh water is bad because some places are flooded and some others with drought.

The solution of this problem is not simple but we have to start to change the things now. All the people in the earth has the right to access to safe water. We have to make a sustainable plan of action. In first place, the development of salt water purifiers have to be implement in a massive way because they are invented already but they don’t have the proper dissemination as for example The “watercone” This is an Stephan Augusting invention that makes salt and brackish water fresh using only the sun, evaporation, and a simple, portable plastic cone. This is a cheap and low tech invention and it is a very suitable solution for this problem. In second place the government has to invest in sanitation work an seek the most adequate solution to meet the fresh water demand. This is “obvious” theoretically but is not in the real life. Some officials prefers to keep that money for their own benefit and they don’t think in their children future. Sometimes for some is more important the money than life. Is terrible but is the truth. There are people dying and we have to do something to save them. They can not put the interest of a few rather than the needs of millions of people. This must be changed immediately so we can live in a better world.
