We Don’t Learn From History
Speech I made about animal extinction.
Animals are just like any other living thing just like you and me; it is not just a thing you use. Animals have a life and soul which makes it different to a table or a chair. For people to kill these beloved creatures God created is not right. It will only drive the species to extinction and we are the ones to be blamed. Extinction is nothing new, has often occurred in the past, doubtfully may occur In the future but can be under control. It can happen unexpectedly if one or group is not aware.
Good morning/afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I am here today to talk about how we, as humans do not learn from history and its impact on animals and why this is a bad thing. What is extinction? It is when a certain species has died and there are no more of the species left or enough to breed more. It is like the dinosaurs that roamed the planet 160 million years ago Have you ever seen an animal been killed? Did you ever think that death could lead the species that one step closer to extinction? What is the point of killing animals just for materials that we need, when it is just like murdering a person, taking their heart or any other organ and just throwing their body away? If we would look harder and smarter we could find a way around killing animals and finding an alternative way to suit our needs. Due to certain fish being killed, certain coral die and this affects our eco system with a great impact.
Climate change affects animal’s habitats so they end up being forced to move and those that are in flatter surfaces like Brazil, Mexico or Australia are more vulnerable to the heat or cold because wherever they go it is more likely the same conditions and they can’t travel very far on their own. The research around the world shows that species living in mountainous areas have a greater chance of survival because they could simply move uphill to get cooler. It also affects food supplies because certain animals die, leading to the chain behind it dying which turns into a big chain reaction. For example, a rabbit eats grass and then the rabbit gets eaten by a fox. If the rabbit species were to ever become extinct, the fox would have to look for other food or starve. Who caused global warming and climate changes? What is the need of it?
