We Will Boycott That Product Containing Hazardous Additives!
I am sure many of you are familiar with Kraft Mac n Cheese in the blue and yellow box. Children love it, I loved it. .. yes I say loved because once I discovered that nifty powdered cheese you add to the noodles is full of red dye #40 and FD&C Yellow % and six! I threw out any remaining boxes, which was one little over three years ago. Although this dye is found at the end of the ingredients list, the amount in there for that dried cheese powder to be so orange-red instead of pale yellow or orange yellow like NATURAL aged American cheese should be colored, is scary! Don’t you agree?
On the shelves there sits a product that contains certain dyes/additives/preservatives/chemicals used for enhancing color, taste, texture, smell, shelf life, absorption, or even consistency ! I am not ranting about inventory spending or how the stores in your local area treat you as a patron. I am ranting on what those grocery, pharmacy, dollar and convenient store owners and sales clerks are selling and distributing to the American public.
I do not wish to come off as making this a petition, a boycott threat or even a demand; but I do urge you to look into your local store, or catalogues you receive in the mail, or purchases of cosmetics and food items online. Go ahead and type in some of the ingredients. Those you cannot pronounce are the worst of all besides those that has classification index numbers assigned to them.
By typing in any of the ingredients on a search engine address bar, you as a consumer have access to many of the hazardous chemicals found in a plethora of products. If any of your local merchants in stores have the audacity to sell products which contain dangerous amounts of FD&C Red #40, Lake Red #4, Yellow #5 & #6, don’t you as a consumer and human being with rights be allowed to get rid of those foodstuffs and cosmetics ?
SURE YOU DO !
I do research. I am on the computer so much I wonder, and compared to most that just might use it to play on-line video games or on-line shop or just watch videos, I use it to learn. I seek as much truthful information as possible. By combining my chemistry, anatomy and psychology backgrounds, I can assure you that information regarding toxic chemicals hazardous to our health is no made up baloney !
I found out and continue to see this stuff everyday in my research for product reviewing, that BECAUSE of the direct studies linking these food additives for color and enhancement, to increased hyperactivity, a concern in the autism spectrum disorders and decreasing IQ, I must speak up about this practice that is truly not necessary for the manufacturing and distribution of what we eat or put on our skin !
I do torture my body enough and feel it is NOT NECESSARY to make my red tomato sauce brighter (Ragu is classic for FDA RED #40 !), my Green Tea Therapy shampoo by Alberto V05 greener by adding Violet 2 or Red 4 when the product is supposed to be green, my lips redder and having lead in it besides those evil red dyes so I can kiss more ardently, or my antiperspirant smell more flowery instead of working to eliminate odor !
In doing reviews at EPINIONS, I come across several products which contain some dangerous additives that many consumers take for granted. Why ? do consumers feel some of these chemicals are OK– because they trust our government. I suggest they stop trusting that which deems it necessary to medicate without warning to slowly create a future of conditioned people who will not be thinking for themselves any longer. The two products, so far as I begin this series of investigative reporting, I did find info on are listed below. If you know anyone using these products warn them against it ! Make sure you don’t purchase these items. Read your labels ! If a store is accumulating more inventory than they are selling because people stop buying, then we are making headway. Otherwise, your local stores will just keep stocking in hopes of you buying while the govt is excited their plans of attack are working !
I found these two products, rather popular in health and beauty stores: Dove Energize Go Fresh Therapy Conditioner Normal Hair and lberto Culver St Ives Olive Facial Scrub 5 oz. It is not healthy, simple as that.
The dove energize conditioner contains this: Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), PPG 9, Polyquaternium 10, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Citric Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985)– not a good product. Much if the first four ingredients can strip natural oils. Why would you want to do this for making your healthy and clean ?

While living in an economic system which produces downturns which causes many people to be thrown out on the streets without any guarantee of efficient or meaningful assistance, it might be a better priority to boycott those cities who have made little effort to provide an efficient means by which the homeless can bounce back into society quickly and safely.

After perusing this article, I offer this information: At least two countries, the U.K. and Australia, are moving to ban products containing synthetic food & beverage dyes from their shelves thought to cause problems in children, including symptoms of ADHD, plus other health concerns in adolescents and adults.
One U.S. company, a Minnesota-based firm, has developed an all-natural, non-GM alternative to the petroleum-based dyes that for years have been used in foods, beverages, cosmetics and other products put on or in our bodies.
High in antioxidants, this new product, now catching the eye of large U.S. food/beverage manufacturers, is derived from a specially developed ‘purple’ corn hybrid. Once the natural dyes are extracted, the starches, proteins and oils in the corn are sustained for continued use along the food chain. To learn more, go to http://www.suntava.com.

Norm, your comment was much appreciated as everyone else who has read and stated something so far. I cannot agree that we need to follow suit with UK and Australia if we want our future children to exist without fear of developing add adhd or other cognitive dissociative disorders.

WE don’t eat macaroni and cheese often. Usually Ash Wednesdayand Friday’s during Lent.. On the other hand, my grandson eats it almost daily, That is about the only thing he’ll eat. He is an EXTREMELY picky eater. He is almost 5 years old and he’s never had a sandwich or pizza…..
