What About a Action Plan for Climate Change?

We all sit every day in our "normal" lives, even after the new shocking report about reaching our carbon max in only five year, now does this means we need to totally cut fossil fuel by this time?

I was shocked to finf that the previous model of 25 years to no return has now been worked out to be 5 years!

According the International Energy Agency(IEA) in five years global warming will hit a point of no return after which it will be impossible to reverse the process.

What shocks me with this new information available the world is still producing around 150,000 cars a day, and just around the corner of my house Green-peace is protesting against the build of yet another coal power station. By the way this power station will only be open is seven year!

My point is, we keep building  fossil-fuelled power stations, energy-guzzling factories and inefficient buildings.

The worst bit about it I think is,  we are so afraid of what is happening and we are looking at the governments for guidance but all they can do is hold meeting after meeting and nothing gets done, and we sit on the sideline doing our little bit. Being vegan turning off the lights, cycle instead of drive, carpool, energy saving devises, but lets face it non of these steps is drastic enough to save the earth.

So what options do we have?

Well sadly this is one subject no matter how much I Google it, there simply does not seem to be a world action plan, something we can do about it.

I guess I am sort of expecting a global awakening. People and governments putting up a action plan to stop life as we know it and change our fate. A plan where we start to take the workers in the factories that produce these carbon producing items and place them in jobs where we move away from carbon. Solar is maybe really expensive, but what if we were to produce just a LOT more of it? With increase in supply the price normally drops? Now this is only one of the clean energy’s available today for us. If we start to look at Geo-thermal energy, then there is almost unlimited supply of energy available today!

Maybe I live in a dream world where I really hope we will be able to turn around the problem, maybe we need to start looking at alternative ways to “clean the air”? mm I think this  is a typical stupis and human response, then we still sitting with a problem a couple of years from now, as there is a limit the world supply of fossil fuels. We have about 370 years left of fossil fuel, now would it not be better for our future generations if we can start making technological advances towards the right step now? If technology moves at the pace it does now, if we move in the right direction, then our future generations can flourish. Have a green life, and still be able to do all the things we do today but just clean energy.

For this to work, for us to maybe make the 5 year limit, we have to change the way we live, drastically, but what? And how? Please any ideas?
