What are Our True Morals?
What might seem obvious and clear-cut is, in fact, often times not…
Have you ever thought about morals? I’m sure the thought might have occured to you a multitude of times throughout your life, as it has for me also. But pondering upon this more, I’ve come to the realization that, often times our idea of “morality” is flawed most of the time, and even the flawed version we fail to live up to.
I believe that our sense of morality is so fragile that it is easy damaged and broken. Have you not found yourself breaking your own morals time and time again? Not everybody does but I believe a large majority of people do. And it’s just a system of depression. I think that no matter what your morals are, they have a breaking point, thus my point being there is no such thing is “perfect” morals.
I’ll prove to you that every set of morals has it’s breaking point, no matter what it is, imagine yourself faced with a situation where people very dear to you, like family or your significant other are put in unknown danger, what will you do to save them? Or think about it this way, if you’re put in such a situation where all of your freedoms are taken away, you have nothing to face but pain, not even death will be avaiable to you, your human nature will do whatever it takes to live, and that is the ultimate breaking point.
I’ve gone deeper and I base it back to our human nature; imperfection is built into human nature. If you think about it at the very foundation of everything, our cellular structure, is also plagued with imperfection because it is prone to mutations. Since our foundation is so flawed of course it leak out and show itself in all other aspects.
I haven’t come to any sort of conlusion on this, just my thoughts on morality.. still searching
Any comments/critisims/feed back is more than welcome, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter
