Lightning travels at over 100 000 miles/hr so only with super slow motion cameras experts begin to understand what is going on. When you via a flash in real time is like seeing the title of the book. You can see that there was a flash of their that to reach the ground and may have flickered a little bit but that is all you know. You come and record the flash with high-speed camera and it becomes a novel and tells a unique story every time you play back, it’s incredible. In slow motion we can see what gives lightning the shape that it has launched 1000 horror movies, electricity hunting for the ground. And now these high-speed cameras are allowing us to catch something completely invisible to the naked eye. The strange lightning that is found not in the plains but right in the heart of Rapid City.
