What’s Your Thoughts on a Second Chance for Michael Vick in The NFL?

How do you feel about Michael Vick’s return to the NFL?

In my opinion, Michael Vick served the amount of time in prison that he was given by a judge. He has also paid his debt to society, and it’s my belief, he has every right to have a second chance in the NFL and in his life too. We all know what Michael Vick did was an inexcusable horrific crime but do we punish people for their mistakes for life? We should not, we should open up our hearts and minds and allow him to have another chance in our society. We all have made mistakes in our lives and do we feel we should suffer for the rest of our lives?

Michael Vick is well aware of the severity of his crime and I’m sure he has suffered more than any of us will ever realize. He lost his fortune in a snap of a finger for his wrong and I’m sure it opened his eyes to his mistakes. Michael has a great talent and he should be able to use it for as long as he so chooses. Why would we want to hold someone a prisoner in their own body and not allow him to do what he is great at doing? Talents like this young man has is God sent and not everyone is given such talent. What does the public expect him to do with the rest of his life?

Many young children who were raised in the south saw their own parents having cock fights and dog fights at their homes on week-ends. These young children were raised and exposed to these horrific crimes whether they liked it or not and they thought it was an okay thing to do because their parents did it. As for myself, these type fights were held often in our area of the south and most young children thought it was the thing to do. My heart would bleed when I saw these acts of violence, but as a child, I didn’t know who to turn to eliminate it from happening.

Since getting away from the south, I’ve found out the horrific cruelty and severity of these acts toward animals and it wasn’t a normal thing to do but it was a terrible violence against animals. Today, I’ll turn anyone in who is mistreating an animal in any manner. This is a terrible act on animalsand there should be a halt put to it forever.

If Michael Vick had been banned from playing in the NFL wouldn’t this have been a form of discrimination against a person who paid their debt to society? I’m going to say this, “I’ll bet Michael Vick will become one of the finest spokesman’s against animal cruelty in our country.” I’ll go one step further, and say, “I’ll bet he’ll put up a lot of his earnings to crub this throughout our country.”

This country should look at Michael Vick as a person who has been rehabilitated and he should be welcomed back into our society to commence a new life and to form a new legacy in his life. As I watched Michael on television and heard him being interviewed, his sense of sincere sorrow could be felt in his voice. This is a man who was exposed to this same type gaming situation as a young child, and he felt in his heart, he was following in his parents past.
