Why Marijuana Should be Legalized
This is an article stating facts about marijuana and why it is not as bad as people think it is.
1. The first reason i believe is that even though marijuana is illegal, it has not stopped people from using it anyway. The government is really trying to get marijuana out of the country but it is grown all over the world and getting rid of it in the US is just a dream considering how many people use it.
2. The second reason is that marijuana is not a very lethal drug, i personally think that it is not fair for marijuana to be illegal when it has been proven that it does more damage to you than alcohol. Tobacco and alcohol are much more addictive than it and a marijuana overdosage is practically impossible.
3. Using marijuana has positive effects such as for medicine. Marijuana is good for relieving pain and nausea and is a great way to relax. People often use it because they think it helps them when the normal medications do not. It is easy to use as treatment as your body does not get addicted to it unlike cigarettes. So you can use it any time you want without getting addicted.
4. People have been trying to make marijuana illegal for a long time, and they are still trying. Even though it is illegal it does not stopped the people from using it. It has some benefits and probably the worst thing that can happen from using marijuana is getting arrested. So, marijuana must be made legal in order for these “crimes” among the people will stop and that marijuana will not have a side-effect of jail.
