Why The World is Doomed

Will the countries now remain the same forever? Will our societies be changed… or even cease to exist.

There’s a saying that “History repeats itself”.  If this is true for people on earth, then there is bad news for everyone. In the past, all civilizations had been conquered or defeated. In addition 99% of all species that existed on earth are now extinct. So it may be a matter of time before something happens to the people of earth.

So.. what could possibly change the world as we know it today? You could say that something unexpected could happen; like a huge meteor hitting earth or something, but that’s not being realistic.

To find a more realistic solution, let’s look into the past and see what caused the downfall of previous civilizations. Let’s see… war with foreign invaders and weaker leaders. In the modern age, these invaders could be seen as groups who search for power to achieve evil goals. The weak leaders can be seen as weak governments that allow these evil people to achieve their ends.

Now, many civilizations were successful civilizations similar to the ones we have today. Some even lasted for thousands of years. Eventually though, something got to the civilization and brought it down. The longer a civilization is around successfully, the more relaxed the people come. Over time these governments become lazy, weak, and or greedy. This is when it is all too likely the civilization will fall.

Think of the world today with nuclear weapons; the game is a bit more dangerous and war seems almost pointlesss especially if the two opposing countries have nuclear weapons. They could blast each other to bits with those weapons making the old way of fighting obselete. A country isn’t truly defeated now until it has lost its regular military weapons and its nuclear weapons. Falling civilizations now are a much more delicate situation when you see the kind of firepower we have today.

Now, all it takes is the wrong information to get into the wrong hands, and everything goes bye. Any country that becomes corrupt could easily sell off that information. This will not be a threat to anyone right now. Just think though, it just takes one person to bring the destruction about; look at what Hitler did. How many years will it take. 1000? 2000? If nothing is done about it, it seems the chances are that it will surely happen but, it seems there are things being done.

The U. N. is working to reduce nuclear weapons around the world. Though we don’t know if this will have a real effect on countries or not. At least it is a start. The world will be much safer when the weapons are destroyed along with the materials that are used to make them. Only then will the world be a much safer place.

“Over time these governments become lazy, weak, and or greedy.”
Remeber peasants rebelling multiple times in history? I like that idea.

The peasants rebelled as a result of the laziness, weakness, and greediness.
