Why You Should Use Your Username as an Article Tag
By using my username as tag for my articles helped traced sites that published my works without my permission and the people plagriarizing my articles across the Internet.

For the past two months – April and May 2011 – I started using my username pruelpo as one of the tags for my articles I wrote. I considered it as a surveillance code to spot people using my articles and those sites that published them without my approval. When I googled my username, I found the three websites that published my article Osama Bin Laden: The Greatest Actor. They’re santacruzlaguna.com, wikio.co.uk and keepamericaatwork.com.
SantaCruzlaguna.com is a site powered by wordpress. The contents of the site is plugin by dagondesign.com. Wiki.Co.Uk is an information portal with a news search engine that searches press sites and blogs. It facilitates access to news not created by its editors. It is a technical contractor of the Internet under Community Directive 2000/31/EC of June 8, 2000 under electronic commerce. It is based in Luxembourg. The website is hosted by Altitude Telecom.
KeepAmericaatWork.com also known as KAAW was founded on November 5, 2007 – a site that gives the people a voice at the table. It is an independent media watching for corruption between business, government and people.
Reading my article on those sites, one thing that came up into my mind was a comment on one of my articles said, “Always think the positive side.” Considering that comment, I did not feel any negative reactions against those sites instead, I made my decision to use them too – by connecting my blog site to their sites which is another way of sharing my articles with those sites legally without spamming.
My unsername also help bring traffics and views to my articles through the search engines.

I’ve noticed this move in our blog, TFD. Try ko nga din gamitin yung name ko as tag sa Triond articles. In fairness ha, ang daming kumuha ng articles mu. Ayan na sinearch ko na yung username ko sa google. hehe.

@dame016 – you will be surprised to read your articles under your username provided by search engines. They go somewhere else aside from the sites that originally published them. Thank you dude for your time.

@macherie – keep it as is “Macherie” and then google it – see if the search engine provides you all what you have updated. I googled macherie and the search engine has led me to “Now I Know What is Phishing” I found your pen name in that article as one of the commentors.

@dude Lapasan – it is my pleasure. Username or pen name of the author is a short code accepted by the search engine crawlers. Just try it then. Anyone who happens to search that pen name of yours will be redirected to all of what you have updated. When I googled Lapasan I found you in one of my articles and the rest are name of places, church and etc.

@Likha – I googled Likha and it is very searchable word. There is nothing wrong to use our pen names or usernames as one of the tags for our articles. It also helps promote both articles and the author.
