Wild Animals, Banned in Circuses in The Uk

Wild animals, banned in circuses in the UK.

Wild animals, banned in circuses in the UK!

UK government to ban circus to stop using wild animals in their shows.

Britain’s environment secretary, Caroline Spelman, consider it immoral that in a modern society to use elephants, tigers, lions, camels and exotic animals to perform tricks with the public. Lengthy journeys made each year in trucks are damaging wildlife, she added.

British lawmakers were informed last month that the government’s new policy in this area is “nearing completion”. Officials from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is working on final details to ensure that there is no conflict with European law.

Dr. Ros Clubb, chief researcher at the RSPCA, the group urged to ban circuses using wild animals, said that “it is about time that Britain is shown to be truly a nation that loves animals.”

This application was submitted one week after he beat Romanian caretaker with a fork and elephant feet Anne, aged 59 years. Anne was moved to Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire, and will be kept away from such aggressive behavior.

At this time, traveling circuses must follow the same law that regulates how pet must be treated. Although a stricter law applies to the zoos, it has no effect on circuses.

Although 1976 was a law that unlicensed trade in animals such as lions, tigers and elephants for private collections or commercial, are prohibited, and it includes an exception for circuses. The only law that is applied to persons involved in the transport of wild animals circus, is not intended to protect their welfare, considered ineffective in the latest report by the British government on this issue.

In a recent survey, 94% of the 10,000 respondents said they agree with banning the use of animals in circuses.

Liz Tyson, director of Captive Animal Protection Society, said that “after more than 50 years of the campaign, we are pleased to hear that the government should ban animals in circuses performances.
