Wisdom: Part Two
by Words that make life priceless.
As people, I think we all have some sort of story that tells a tale of disappointment, heartache…I am sure that I can go on. I find it wonderful when God places ways of escape just for you. There are several paths to freedom or the maintenance of it such as an older individual that has wisdom keys, The Bible, Spiritual Assistance, Divine Help, books, t.v.,…
Well, in my case, there was my Dad. He came into my life when I was about 3 or 4 years old. Now, since this time, there have been several other events to take place but around ages 23-25, I had been out of the house on my own on and off for about 5-7 years and this produced and engagement that never went further than lips, 2 beautiful children and etc…now, after the first child, this man begins to reveal to me his all together “oh no he didn’t… list of cardinal and rank sinner’s doings” this list defied everything that a young woman could dream of.
Well, I was raised to “just make it work-what did you do?” and my response was that whenever he didn’t make “it” work do to his own habits and things, with a small child, no more of this was to be tolerated. I wanted my Dad to hold my child until I returned.
Well, his response? “Listen, I understand that you love him…”, cutting him off- my response?” no, no, no, He owes me”, he repeated his thought several times while shoving this poor child in his way, then I listened – He said, ” I know that you love him, but if you go over there and “…I told him that I was going to redo the front of the building and bust something…” if you go over there and do all of that then you will go to jail, that is not his building and who, then, will be here for your child? He is not worth it!”
Still shoving this kid, I am determined to go and then he says, ” You are the best person to raise your child. My aunt told me the same…she said that I should never choose anyone or thing over them.
Words for me to live by and it does pay to have me hold my head up knowing that I am contributing to a healthy society of good citizens that came from me.
