Yes or No for Marijuana
by A phone text message I received on my cell phone.
I just recently recieved a text message asking me to call a phone number and vote on whether I think Marijuana should be legalized or not. The exact words of the message was: Vote 2 legalize marijuana. On CNN today, Obama will consider w/ 1 million votes. Call 973-409-3274 listen and press #. Pass it on!….. I am not entirely sure how I feel about this situation, but I do feel it is politically correct to vote. I have always been told that if you don’t vote, then you don’t really have the right to voice your opinion over what was voted on.
I know that I have heard many different sides on this situation. I think we need hemp materials back in the USA. Hemp can make lotions, paper, fuel, clothes….there are endless possibilities. I do believe it would help bring us out of our depression. I don’t really have other feeling towards what the rest of the plant does. But I do know it would bring billions of dollars to the US government. This situation leaves us in a rock and a hard place because of the moral issues with the plant. Truthfully, I am not sure if there is much of a choice anymore. Our government is so far under right now, we need something major to pull us out of our troubles…
