Academic Twist
Onto newer methods of coaching.
Leaving an old employer that has no sense of organization is like leaving an old body. Someone who will have you give keys to students and then ask you where the list of keys is, is someone who is obviously forgetful. If that same person can’t remember what he has put in his outline but, I will be more dubious of his credentials. Let me go a step further. Someone who gives you an outline and then redoes it time and time again but won’t allow you to use your expertise, is someone who isn’t ready to manage. You might think that I have no patience and in fact, you would be right. For the most part, I have lost the patience to work for employers who do not merit you for what you know and then punish you because of their own incompetence.
Such job owners do not have the savvy of using your talent appropriately and instead insist on having you use archaic teaching methods, like using antiquated charts or translate from the French into English when one is supposed to nurture the English thought process. I used to follow instructions and not bite the hand that feeds. Now I try to incorporate as much of what is current so that the student is learning while discovering interesting and entertaining subjects. I am a new person being able to take some of the information so that the school is content that I am using their method but I am smart enough to add some twist to it so that the student is never bored.
