Activities for Developing Their Language Knowledge and Skills

      As a mother , toddlerhood is a critical time for language development, because in order to master language, children need practice time. Here are some tips on how to teach your toddler to develop their language knowledge and skills;

                                 1. Children need exposure to conversation and need to read to often.

                                 2. Naming objects as they play with your child such as block,ball,music box, doll or when you give your toddler something  (”Here is your drink of water” or ” Let’s put on these pajamas, and so on). This helps toddler grasp the fact that words are not meaningless sound.

                                 3. Always answering a child question is another good way to do this. Be sure answers for toddler’s are simple and brief because they have such a short attention span.

                                4. Suring sleeping time, read a short story for them.

                                5. Buy a booklet or cards: it will helps childs to distinguish the object.

                                6. Buy a magnetic letter or a poster of an alphabet with shapes and colors.

                                7. Give your toddler full time for playing, watching t.v. and studying time, or any activities that  she/he will learn more.
