French Verb Help

An article written to help those people stuck on French verbs.

When learning French verbs can be a constant pain, and they seem to take forever to learn, so what I’ve done here is to write out some of the regular patterns for the present tense, and a few of the irregular verbs that you really should know if you want to study French. I hope I make it clear, and any questions do not hesitate to email me or send me a message.

Regular verbs

-er  verbs

-er verbs are verbs that end with –er when they are in the infinitive (the to form). Some of the most notable ones are ‘jouer’ which means To Play and ‘commander’ To Order.

These are conjugated:

Je                            joue       -              I play

Tu                           joues     -              You play

Il/elle/on             joue       -              He/She/We(informative) play

Nous                     jouons  -              We play

Vous                      jouez     -              You(pleural) play

Ils/Elles                 jouent  -              They play

To sum up the endings are

Je                            -e
