Language’s Origins
A brief introduction…
Language may well have developed in early humans because of competition. There were clashes between the wild animals and among brothers as well. To come out winner, our ancestors had to set up warning signals and also plan when it was best to attack. This was done most probably by gesturing or by communicating using a simple language.

Secondly, our bodies developed in such a way that we could speak an increasing array of different sounds. The sophisticated vocal part of our bodies contributed a lot to the development of language also. The latter is seen at work more clearly in young children. As a child is born and gets contact with an environment in which a certain language is spoken, his natural instinct is aroused. He learns to communicate by observing and listening to his parents. Kids first start to stammer, then learn to form some comprehensible words and finally succeed in constructing complete sentences. Most children acquire this skill at the age of three itself.
