How to manage to learn Chinese more easily?

Are you learning Chinese? If so, you may find that Chinese is very difficult to learn. However, it is not the case, if you know better ways to learn it.

You can start from Pinyin, which are letters, too. And, use English to help you to help Chinese. For example, the sound of “yi”, which means one, can be imitated by the sound of letter “e” in a level tone. “ba”, which means eight, you can use “bar”, but no sound of “r”, also, in a level tone. Piece of a cake, isn’t it?

Also, you can use images to learn Chinese, for the Chinese characters were created to imitate things around us. You may know the word “kou”(mouth),the character is , which is really like a mouth. And, the character (pinyi:ren, means human.) looks like a person who is standing there with arms down, and legs apart. Not difficult, right?

If you have known many Chinese characters, you can expand your vocabulary very fast.

For example, if you know the pronunciation of , you may know the pronunciations of , etc. You may have notice that these characters have a part of “”, and you are right, they have the similar pronuciation, the pinyin of them are all the same, “tai”. Since Chinese characters are almost fixed, limited number, there are no new characters generated day by day, while English does. So, it is easy for you to learn the 3000 Chinese characters soon, and you can read articles with no problems then. Though not all the Chinese characters are made that way, there are large portion of them which can be learned this way.

You have to practice Chinese, too. Practice makes perfect. Find all chances that you can speak Chinese to practice it. If you like music, try to learn Chinese songs. The study shows that many many non-native Chinese can sing Chinese songs very well. This can help you to improve your speaking Chinese greatly.

Learn Chinese, learn it quick, and enjoy your learning, if you follow the tips I mentioned above. Make it interesting to you!

As a bilingual of Chinese and English, I know exactly what you say. But unfortunately your Chinese characters did not display normally. Thanks for sharing.

Learning to speak is very different from learning to read and write. :)

What you are trying to say is exactly what I have been telling my girl – think of fun ways to remember the characters and how they are pronounced. Learn a few characters every day or if that’s too much, every week, and soon you will find that it’s not that difficult after all.

It’s a pity your Chinese characters did not display properly, though.

    Thanks for sharing.
