Learn Sign Language Fast

Learning sign language fast is not an impossible feat.  Most people who want to learn sign language fast can usually learn the language in about a year.  

In order to learn sign language you should apply the steps below to learn the language fast:

1.  Learn the alphabet in sign language first – we all started out learning the alphabet of our native language.  Sign language is no different.  If you don’t know the alphabet you should learn it right away.  The alphabet will allow you to fingerspell words you don’t know the sign for. 

2.  Set a goal to learn as many signs a possible – you should set a goal to learn so many signs in a week.  I would suggest that you purchase sign language flash cards.  You can take the flash cards almost anywhere and not worry about carrying around a book.

3.  View lots of videos – there are a lot of videos online you can access to view others signing.  This is very important.  I would view more videos on a daily basis than anything else. 

I started learning sign language at the age of 10.  It took me years to learn it because I was kid and didn’t have access to the videos and other multimedia aids that are available today.  I know of a few people that were able to learn sign language in about a year.  They did this by applying themselves.  They were very serious about learning the language.  If you are serious about learning sign language, shouldn’t have a problem with learning it in a year.
