Memory Aid to Enrich Your English Vocabulary – Synonyms for “Interesting.”

Enrich your English Vocabulary by using memory aids.

Fluency does not come easy for many people and for those whom it comes easy for they may only have one way for saying things. Synonyms are very useful when you want to master any language. When you want words to be at your finger-tips or at lease at the tip of your tongue it is good to employ a mnemonic or a memory aid. The following is an acrostic to help English enthusiasts remember words when saying you thought something was “great.” (Of course no two words can mean exactly the same thing. There are always shades of meanings in one word not present in the other).

Just think of “SPECIALISED  WIFE.”

S – Spell-binding, Stupendous

P – Provocative

E – Enchanting

C – Compelling

–  Intriguing

A  –Absorbing, Agreeable, Attractive

L  – Likeable

I   – Interesting

S – Stimulating

E – Enthralling, Enticing

D – Delightful

W –Winsome, Wonderful

 I  –Incredible

 F– Fascinating

 E –Engaging

“Specialised” here is spelt with a “s” instead of a “z” as is used in many countries. (Some countries use a “s” and others use a “z”). Let’s not make that a problem. Try spelling “stimulating” with a “z” and then you will really have a problem. Use memory aids to expand and enrich your vocabulary. Let your pen be your sword or should I say sWORD.

Why have one word, one soldier working for you when you can have an army. Let no one pass “sentence” on you because you are a man or woman of a few words. Stay tuned for more mnemonics on English Vocabulary.
