Modern English

About normal spoken English in the UK.

English has grown incredibly since when it first began with ‘Old English’. It is now one the many spoken languages in the world, along with Spanish and Chinese (both of which i also know how to speak).

However, English can get very confusing. Unlike many of it’s other popular Latin counter-parts – for example French or Spanish – It doesn’t seem to follow suit in some places, which can be quite daunting or fustrating for other people learning English. Also, there are many similiar sounds, but are spelt very differently, for example;

FISH

can also be spelt, in theory but still sound the same:

GHITI

Explanation:

GH from enough

I is just standard

TI from constitution

Also, IM (Instant Messaging) is also sometimes very confusing, if you are not familiar with it, there are vast numbers of abbreviations that come from texting on mobile phones although, on the other hand, mobile phone texting has again become more civilised as in full words are used mostly, with the introduction of auto-correct software, but can still be a problem in its self.

But the bottom line is, learning a different language can help everyone in this multicultural world.
