Political Correctness Persons

Political Correctness, often hiding behind the even worse shortening of PC, is one of the more ridiculous inventions of the 20th century. It stems from the irrational idea that words are offensive and ignores the fact that if someone really wants to be offensive, they are able to couch it in the most inoffensive way imaginable.

You might already guess that I am no friend of Political Correctness. In fact, I have learned from my parents not to use offensive vocabulary. This means by inference that properly brought-up and educated people have no need for PC; people who need PC usually don’t have the grasp on vocabulary to understand it. Am I offensive enough to make my point?

I do try to copy my mother. Her use of the single word ‘indeed’ was masterly and I strife to attain her level of mastery. She was able to convey whole worlds of meaning with this single word. It could contain anything from ‘you are talking utter rubbish’ to ‘you are an insufferable fool’ with the raise of an eyebrow. Who needs PC?

If you want to learn the perfect way of being truly offensive without recourse to coarse language, I recommend you read some novels by Georgette Heyer set in the Regency period. Her books contain loads of ideas to point your way on how to be offensive using the most innocent words possible. She even teaches you how to be offensive without saying anything at all; indeed, she proves that not saying anything at all in certain situations can be the most offensive option of all.

Political Correctness Persons recently re-tried to make the Gingerbread Man into a gingerbread person. This is not only ridiculous and preposterous; it is also inconsequent in its application. Others have tried the same way to utter madness before and met a wall of resistance. It shows that PC persons are unable to learn bringing us back to education which in essence best achieved by learning. They overlooked that ginger is an offensive term for red haired people; the correct new term therefore should have been spice-containing-bread person.

Where does such madness come from? It is not only rooted in a minor grasp of language and its evolution; any inoffensive term may be turned into an offensive one to replace a ‘lost’ one at any point of time. It is also a fact that such persons are employed by the government; as a government employee they are used to do no work at all, but the current drive to weed out the worst money wasters makes them scramble to prove their indispensability. Indeed.

The worst problem of all Political Correctness Persons (or should I write PCP?) is their lack of anything else. They have reduced themselves to persons, they are not human, and neither male nor female, probably not even neuter, and have no personality. Once I stop laughing my head off over their quaint antics I’ll probably find some time to pity them. More probably not, now I think about it, as I have better things to do.

Most politicians and policy makers are politically correct. Political correctness is disdained by people. It doesn\\\’t call a spade a spade. PC is hypocrisy and mental dishonesty.
