Possibly The Most Annoying Song Ever
by I’m in first year French, and our crazy teacher makes us listen to songs to help reinforce our knowledge. Yesterday, she played possibly the most demonic song that has ever been sung.
The song is called: “Le Papa Pingouin”, and it is about a penguin that wants to fly away until his son (le bebe) convinces him to stay.
It is the most repetitive song in existence, with its chorus:
le papa pingouin
le papa pingouin
le papa, le papa, le papa pingouin
It just repeats over and over again. It gets stuck in your head and it will never come out. Not that it is a bad song, it just has this nagging effect in the back of you mind. You think about it, and then it completely consumes your thoughts until you just have to listen to it.
Once you listen to it, you will keep listening to it, and then you will look up and it has been an hour of you staring blankly at a screen not understanding a single word that has been said.
This song will steal your life, but then again, so does learning French (It will consume all…)
If you want to learn French, listen to it.
If you value your sanity, then don’t.

I’ve just listened the song on YouTube (it has a freaking 500K views!) and yeah, it’s pretty annoying. Probably good if I was in kindergaten or something..
