Russian Artist’s Shocking Protest. "Slightly Graphic Video"
Man performs outrageous stunt to try and get his point across.
Russian Madness!
A russian artist by the name of Oleg Mavromatti, has recently created a website where viewers can take collective control of a chair that sends electric shocks to the artist’s body. Although he claims to be making a free speech statement to his country, Bulgaria, he only seems to be trying to one-up the movie Untraceable. Mavromatti was formerly known for causing an uproar among many Bulgarians by filming a movie where he had crucified himself. According to Mavromatti, online viewers will get the chance to vote for his electrocution and for every 100 votes, his chair will send a strong electric current streaming through his body. He says he will do this every night for a week to get his point across. Mavromatti is quoted by the news outlet, RT, as stating “This is a test about how society interprets freedom.” “do they want to use it to save or to kill?”
The video posted is slightly graphic and is not for the faint of heart. Proceed with caution, if you are the type.
