Even if you learn English without friend, you can put pleasure in your learning process. Learning with pleasure can make your critical area of your brain accept the lesson.

What do yo do in your spare time? You can spend it by learning English. Even if you do it without friend, you can put pleasure in your learning process. Prepare your dictionary. Read and apply the following tips.

Watch an English language movie

Play Hollywood movie without subtitle. Cartoon or animation movie is advisable to train your listening skill. You can also watch other kind of movie with English subtitle. You can read the subtitle and how the stars pronounce it.

Listen to an English song

When you listen to the English song, it is important to get the lyrics. If the CD or cassette does not provide the lyrics. You can search it via search engine in Google or Yahoo. Try to get the meaning of lyric and learn to sing the song.

Read your favorite books

If reading is your hobby, it is a good news. Get your favorite books which are written in English. They can be fiction and non fiction. Consult a dictionary if you find the difficult word. You can write the word on a piece of paper and try to memorize the meaning. You can also get your favorite readers by surfing via internet.

Chat

You can get friends from foreign countries and start to interact with them via internet. Visit chat forum and start to chat in English.

Learn to be a writer

    Heehee! You’re so totally true. That’s how I learned English (I’m also not a native speaker, as they say). It took me about two decades of studying before I had the courage to publish anything though. And I’m still nowhere without my spelling checker.
