The Fundal Called One Word and Spelled Out

In English language, there are many words that have two forms; one as together and the other as spelled out. Often while writing we come across these words and get confused on which to use; one word or spelled out. In this article, I have tried to give a logical explanation with examples on why and when to use these words.

While writing many of us would have faced instances where we have been forced to think on whether to use the word as one word or spelled out. I being a writer myself have faced this problem with its added confusion. Sometimes, it becomes really difficult to choose one word against spelled out and vice versa. Keeping this point in view, I thought of writing an article that would clarify writers (occasional and part time) like me on which to use under what circumstances.

Altogether versus All Together

Altogether
Use this to convey when all things are considered together as one whole thing, to an entire extent, wholly, completely, etc.	Altogether it is a new approach. Due to injury, he is altogether in a panic.
All together
Use this to convey or represent a group of people or thing that act together (collectively) at the same time.	They play and perform all together on stage. They are all together in agreement with the rules.

Already versus All ready

Already
Use this to convey things that are done, earlier than expected.	The first hundred questions that he answered are already corrected. I have already completed the assigned tasks.
All ready
Use this to convey that all the things are ready and prepared to act together.	The team is all ready for the game. The rocket is all ready for launch. The students are all ready for the final exams.
