The Top Five Hardest Tongue Twisters

The five hardest phrases in the English language to say.

We all know, “She sells sea shells on the sea shore.” We all know, “How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck couldn’t chuck wood?” Most of us can’t even say these phrases three times fast. When being compared to the top five hardest tongue twisters to say in the English language, though, these tongue twisters seem amateurish at best.

So, which phrase in our language is the hardest to say?

“Three Swedish switched witches watch three Swiss Swatch watches switches. Which Swedish switched witch watch which Swiss Swatch watch witch?” This phrase is clearly the hardest to say that anyone can think of. Most Americans cannot even say this phrase one time fast.

The runners up were chosen in the following order:

“Six sick hicks nick six slick bricks with picks and sticks.”

“Sheena leads, Sheila needs.”

“I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish, but if you wish the wish the witch wishes, I won’t wish the wish you wish to wish.”

“If Stu chews shoes, should Stu choose the shoes he chews?”

“Did Dick Pickens prick his pinkie pickling cheap cling peaches in an inch of Pinch or framing his famed French finch photos?”

It is guaranteed that you won’t be able to say a single phrase from this list three times fast, without stopping.
