Which 4-letter Word Would You Expunge From The Dictionary and Why?

A university application question, this was my response.

To know is to possess knowledge or have a clear and certain perception of an object or concept. Nothing in this world that has been defined by mankind is perfect, and we can never know something for certain. The word “know” should be expunged for that particular reason. There is always a margin of error, flaws in theories and contradictory statements that negate one another. The concept of knowing something is an infinite cycle of thought, and we are wasting time trying to find answers to an infinite amount of questions. We were placed into this world blind and determined to figure out the meaning of life. As time progressed, we began to define “objects” we perceived to be important for self-preservation, when ultimately these objects are nothing but coloured structures. We also created symbols to communicate, but due to the way people think through finite concepts, it is not possible to comprehend the infinite.  For example, “words” are merely symbols created by us to better comprehend our feelings and ideas. When one says “I know how you feel”, they do not actually know how you feel because it is relatively impossible to fully understand what someone is thinking or how they are feeling without being the person yourself. What we know is a direct result of how we think, and how we think is constantly changing and expanding. However, the way we think is so heavily tainted by censorship, propaganda, and judgment that what we seem to know can never be proven to be certain.
