Why Should You Learn a Foreign Language?

If you are reading this and you are American who speaks English as native language and if you are not familiar with any foreign language, but have some interest in learning one – then you should start learning Spanish. Why you ask? Well, Spanish speaking community it getting larger every single day and soon it will be the largest community in the US. Yes, even larger than English. So, by knowing and understanding Spanish language you will get closer to the community and it will be easier to do business with that community.
Motivation
Basic thing when you are starting to learn foreign language is to have motivation. What kind of motivation is it, doesn’t matter as long as you have it. Someone needs it on his/her place of work, someone is learning it in school and someone is learning it for cultural things. (I am recommending to read “One hundred years of solitude” by G. G. Marquez in original – Spanish. So much better then the translation). One more important thing about motivation is that you have to maintain it at high level during your process of learning – which is harder than starting motivation. People usually lose motivation when they realize that learning isn’t going the way as they imagined it will be.
Universal way
Now we come to the second most important thing: the best way of learning a foreign language. Not universal way. Because there isn’t one. There is only your way. Because people are not the same. What suits best to one individual doesn’t have to suit other.
Once I found my personal way it was very easy to learn foreign language, it was even with fun and joy. How I found my way? Well, first I have done some research on the Internet about new methods of learning. That is how I discovered some really good web pages (Mochilla).
Conclusion
Since there is no universal way I can’t tell you your way. What I can and will tell you is that you first find your motivation. Then start looking and searching. In this process you will see how strong your motivation is.
