American Gun Rights and the United Nations

by M T Bargeman in Law, November 26, 2007

The United Nations wants to destroy our Second Amendment rights. We need to get involved in our government to stop the possibility. Keep the Vitter Language in the Appropriations Bill.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution clearly states that all citizens of our country have the “right to keep and bear Arms.” In this instance, a right is a natural and commonly held belief and desire to do something as a free person, not a subject; keep means to hold in one’s possession, and bear means to use when necessary. Thus the right to keep and bear arms means, that as a free person, a citizen of the United States of America, we all have the right to possess arms, and to use those arms- guns: handguns, long guns, front-stuffers or repeaters- to protect ourselves from any danger, be that danger an American criminal in New Orleans, Louisiana or a foreign foe from Iraq, Afghanistan, or Iran. The United Nations, headquartered in New York, sees it differently. They don’t think we Americans ought to be allowed to protect ourselves. They think we ought to wait for the police to come, while the criminal helps themselves to whatever- and whomever- they wish.

For more than ten years, the United Nations, led by Khoffi Annan, and others, has tried to get the United States on the bandwagon of worldwide gun databases, including the names, addresses, makes and models of every gun owned, made, and held by American citizens. The U.N.’s view is that guns are evil, and if all guns are banned, and subsequently destroyed, the world will be a safer place. How is this so? How do they propose all guns be registered? Are the criminals going to come in to the local gun store, the local police department, and sign up to have their guns registered? Are the criminals going to stop running illegal guns, stealing guns, making straw purchases? No. That is why they are criminals. A criminal commits crimes. Laws mean nothing to these people. If the rule of law meant anything to a criminal, he would not be a criminal, but an honest, law-abiding citizen. The U.N. even thinks it is a good idea to place serial numbers on the cases of individual bullets for identification purposes. They believe guns can be “finger-printed”, just like a human being. Printing serial numbers on individual bullets only identifies new bullets. What about people who hand-load their bullets? The serial number only identifies a new bullet. If the brass is left at the range, and re-loaded there, then how do they identify who it belongs to? They can’t. A gun will make an individual stamp on a shell casing, yes, but fire two hundred more rounds through the gun, and the fingerprint changes.

The United Nations has since 1995, and particularly since 2001, have been trying to take away and infringe our rights as Americans. Syria, Iran, Cuba, China, and other Communist, anti-American countries, have been voting for the international registration of our guns for years. The U.N. proposes a national registry of legal firearms. This registry would include four things:

  1. Promote national registries and tracking lists for all firearms. Suddenly, this creates international registration for legal firearms.
  2. Part of this registration would be an international tracking certificate.
  3. These first two clauses would create and call for worldwide record keeping for an indefinite amount of time.
  4. This registration would also call for comprehensive worldwide gun control. This would include a total ban on certain types of legal firearms, which the U.N. currently refuses to name.

This referendum is funded by the likes of the International Network on Small Arms. The director of the IANSA is none other than Rebecca Peters, the spearhead of Australia’s gun control laws. Rebecca Peters’ organization is funded by billionaire George Soros. George Soros has been a vocal proponent of gun control for many years.

Senator David Vitter (R-LA) sponsored an amendment in th U.S. Senate that would cut off any and all funding from the United States to the United Nations and other organizations that tried to restrict American Second Amendment rights by registration or taxation of legal firearms. The amendment passed, with a vote of 81-10. Now the amendment goes to the House, as part of this particular Senate appropriations bill, will go to a Conference Committee. We as citizens, need to call, write and e-mail our Representatives and tell them to keep the Vitter Language in the bill. With a Democratic Congress in power, and Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) as Speaker of the House, we Americans need to do everything in our power to make certain the U.N. cannot regulate us as Americans. China, Syria, Cuba, Iran, all are helping to push this agenda at the U.N. Senator Pelosi is a very vocal proponent of gun control, and has been for years. We need to vote. We need to write our Representatives and Senators in Congress. Their job is to represent us, the people. They work for us, whether we be a poor waitress living in a bad neighborhood who needs a gun to defend herself with when she comes home at night, or whether we be a CEO of a Fortune 500 company who needs to be able to protect himself and his family when out for an evening.

If you do not know the name or address of your Congress people, now is the time to find out. You can find this information in the Government listings in your phone book. You can register to vote at your local Department of Motor Vehicles in many states, or city hall, or your county courthouse in every state. You can also go to: Write Your Rep or, Congress. Here, you can write directly to your representatives in Congress. Write your Representative, write your Senator, tell your friends, and everyone on your e-mail list. We as Americans cannot afford to let foreign interests regulate us. The United Nations has no business in the United States. They want to take away our rights to defend ourselves. Let’s defend ourselves and our rights by getting involved. Write, call, vote. Get involved with the NRA. Let’s keep the Vitter language in the Appropriations Bill, and let’s keep the U.N. out of our rights to freedom and liberty.

    Thank You for reading.

you do not get to have it both ways, americans have always interferred in the affairs of other nations. It comes down to common sense. If arming for self-protection worked, the US would be the safest country in the world – and I can assure you that it is not. The american gun lobby likes to make up stats but it cannot handle the thought that this truth might just export a dangerous and perhaps contagious notion: that gun control saves lives. There are no gun laws in the united states to speak of!

    Wolfen-

You are obviously ignorant of just how regulated, controlled, and lawed to death guns are for HONEST citizens of this country. I suggest that you check federal and local law before you come to me with such a weak argument for the forceful removal of my rights as an American. Without the Second Amendment, I do not believe we could retain ANY of the inalienable rights we hold by the strength of our Constitution, our military, and every lawful pistol or rifle packing person in this nation.

YOu are entitled to your opinion, which is guaranteed by the First Amendment. My family and our pistols will defend your right to have and express that opinion while exercising oUR guaranteed Second Amendment right.

Although Revelation 13:18 (BIBLE) describes a final dictator, who will control every human being on the earth, and to complete that task, without resistance, would need to disarm the world’s citizens, we as Christians (I believe) have the duty to “deter evil.” How far we go as Born-Again Christians is a matter of each person’s personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus the Christ. Personally, I will defend the Constitution from any foe: internal or external.

I agree that the biblical days of tribulation are associated with depriving earths remaining gun holders with restrictions concerning gun ownership including a lot of other rights. It is only the American liberties we posse that keep a dictatorship from further forming inside our decaying system with both firearms, speech, and our greatly appreciated unnamed liberties. Although our United States is a wonderful county for people to live in people are overlooking the real aspect that other nations are influencing our laws and the little remaining rights we posses that also live and reside right here in the United States of America. People might say they have heard stories of the Mexican military operating within the United States and this story may be true, they might have heard that China may have troops operating inside the United States, the Chinese government has bought hundreds of acres of land in Kansas and I think Japan owns many of the toll highways here in the United States, I don’t know because I haven’t seen these personally although I know our feelings is that our government has completely sold most of us out to the new global economical order and killed our wealth indebting us with trillions of dollars debt to the Chinese government and our government doesn’t know how to stop spending money that doesn’t belong to them.
Our government has turned to Native American Nations to support their never ending aggression against the constitution of United States and their desire to disassemble the country’s laws and mislead the American people even further, and these other Nations that are existing separate from the authority of the United States exist and operate right here inside your once truly wonderful and beautiful country further decaying our once great liberties, I know because I live on Native American land and I have noticed that the tribal police are policing American citizens without United States citizens permission while also serving the interest of completely different Nations that operate by completely different laws. The state that I am residing in, the house of representatives is mostly occupied by citizens of several Native American Nations whom actually happen to answer to no law, they can not be sued nor prosecuted according to treaties established with the United States government that have existed for the last one hundred years and to me this is disturbing. Check out your state to see if you can find your states affiliation with Native American Nations, note that not all Indians are Native many are immigrants like anyone and only migrated here under United States protection when the Calvary rooted out the more savage groups of Indians migrating here from Canada and other general areas of America.
Oklahoma, the land of Native America, is slowly dying to Rouge Nations.
