Apples and Artists?
by What is the difference between apples and oranges? Who owns the rights to your own work? How far can copyright infringement go?
Has the person who holds that particular picture also infringed on anyone else’s rights? The laws range from very broad to very specific when dealing with copyright issues these days. Therefore, since I do not possess any credentials for quoting, explaining, or carrying out such laws, other than my right to an opinion and some good old fashioned common sense, I suppose I will just leave it up to the courts to decide in the argument over apples and…artists. I would like to point out however, that no court has ever been able to decide over the difference between apples and oranges or other great debates such as, tomato-tomato and which came first…(we know all about that story don’t we?) so, good luck to the judicial system with this one and to those holding the pieces of art, both in this particular case and anywhere that people may be so inspired.
