Battle for Properties Among Former Ruler’s Family Members

A Royal battle is on in Hyderabad, between the family members of the late ruler, for the properties he has left behind.

Hyderabad, Sept. 29 : The   great Grand-daughter of the last  Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab  Mir Osman Ali Khan, Princess Shafiya Sakina has demanded  the Central government to  probe through the Enforcement Directorate into the assets  of the Prince Mukkaram Jah, Prince Muffakam Jah and Princess Esra Birgin and all those who claimed to be owners of the several Malls, Villas and Hotels and Marriage Function Halls built on the Nizam’s properties.

            Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Shafiya Sakina said that she had filed case in III ACJ, City Civil Court against Prince Moazam Jah Bahadur Trust members, who claimed that had entered through the trust into Mount Pleasant Property  which means 24 acres 10 gunta situated in the prime road no.3 of Banjara Hills in the city. The Prince Moazam Jah Bahadur Trust treasurer Dr Akber Ali Khan had filed an  affidavit to misled the court saying that  Shafiya Sakina was  not   Nizam’s  Grand daughter.

            Aggrieved and hurt by the insult, Princess Sakina had approached the criminal court of law for offences of defamation, criminal contempt and attempt to outrage modesty of women by the said affidavit. After examination of documents filed by her, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, criminal court has summoned the accused Dr Akber Ali Khan of the Sultan-ul-uloom Education Society to be present before the Court on October 7, 2011, said  her counsel Mr P. Venkataramana, Advocate of Supreme Court.
