Child Porn and the ACLU

A queer situation exists within the United States that is putrefying at best and gives way to fierce indignation: the relationship between the American Civil Liberty Union (ACLU) and child pornography.

It Isn’t Necessarily So

Before discussing the ramifications the ACLU has had upon child pornography, it might be best to share some insights about the ACLU – especially since this organization is a pro at duplicity.

Many people believe the ACLU is non-partisan. However history clearly maintains “not only were they founded on communism, they are about as liberal an organization in existence.” (Stop the ACLU: “Top Ten Myths About the ALCU” (February 9, 2006) Page 1.

William Donahue is quoted as saying, “Social reform, in a liberal direction is the sine qua non of the ACLU. Its records far from showing a momentary wavering from impartiality are replete with attempts to reform American society according to the wisdom of liberalism. The claim to non-partisanship only provides them with a tax-free status – and nothing could be further from the truth.” ( ACLU Myths – PAGE 1).

In discussion with family members older than me the consensus seems to be the ACLU is representative of the average American values. It would be unpatriotic not to support them. This is another misconception about the ACLU.

“Their absolutist views of liberty go far beyond what most people could ever support. They support the legalization of child pornography distribution and unregulated prostitution. This position alone would make the American Civil Liberty Union, far from the traditional thoughts of patriotism; constantly defending America’s enemies and fighting the efforts of military recruitment.” pg. 2 ACLU Myths.

Another claim propagated by the ACLU is that they are the great defender of liberty. This is a long stretch on truth as most American’s know it. The ACLU has their own definition of liberty, which is simply defined as being what aligns with their agenda. Their truth has given them the track record of being “the foremost religious censor in America.” (ACLU Myths – Page 2).

Our Nation was founded upon a concept of various freedoms, among which, religious freedom is at the top of the list. Yet the American Civil Liberty Union has been very successful in jockeying the very principles the USA was founded upon by using corrupt legal channels to repress the freedom of religious expression. Further a main item on the ACLU’s agenda is to erase our National religious heritage from the pages of American history – ASAP! (ACLU Myths – Page 2)

Boldly the ACLU has declared they are the defender of the oppressed and helpless. If this is so why in case upon case have they supported terrorist, child molesters, and murders rather than the innocent victims of the horrendous crimes these debase individuals perpetrated? (ACLU Myths – Page 3)

Very, very scary! It would seem that the U.S. is attempting the same thing as the Canadians: to erase our religious heritage and to allow the vilest of behaviour on the grounds of “freedom”.
Personally, I think that battle lines are being drawn in the western world between secularism and Christianity – Christianity is systematically being outlawed in the name of separation of church and state.
