		<description>It&#039;s interesting to note that, in Kansas, they have added a law recently making it a FELONY to &quot;remove theft-detection devices&quot; from products in a store, prior to shoplifting. One case I know of personally resulted in FIVE FELONIES being charged against someone to was caught shoplifting possibly $100 worth of items out of a Walmart.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
FIVE felonies for ONE single otherwise-misdemeanor shoplifting incident. More than you could get for drugging and raping an underage cheerleader.&lt;br /&gt;

It seems we&#039;re moving in the OPPOSITE direction, back to cutting off the hand of the theif.</description>
