History of Marijuana Prohibition
History or Marijuana Prohibition.
Marijuana often refered to as weed, pot, reefer, and ganja. Marijuana is so sooo bad and illegal and looked down on society. Well here i am to tell you all the truth on Marijuana.
People have been smoking for thousand of years and never though anything of it. Labor workers often use marijuana to relax them after a long day at work. The high class people around the area did not like their customs and look down upon them. And was said that it turned them into killers, One mexican attack two white men and stated that he went crazy because of Marijuana. El paso City (where this took place) soon passed a law to ban marijuana and took role fast busting everyone with marijuana. This soon was said a way to control mexicans because of the fact they were the main user of marijuana. Most Americans had no clue about marijuana nor did care due to the fact they had worse drugs to worry about at the time. U.S. thought that if they threw enough people in jail they can stop the use of alcohol and other drugs such as cocaine, dope, marijuana. They became strict and searching everyone. Soon began to throw people in jail left and right. A man named Harry Anslinger was the director of the war on drug smuggling and caught many people. He soon wanted all states to enforce the law themselves and start catching people. Only nine states agreed to this. Other states though it would interfiere with federal law. Jazz bands in New orleans were using “refeer” marijuana because it made the music sound better. Then the marijuana use traveled up the mississippi. Anslinger realized that it has been traveling to all the major citys and knew that he needed to convince the voters that marijuana is “deadly” that they will sign his law and agree to fight against drug use. The “new official truth” came up as if you smoke it you will go insane. He then quickly told all parents that Marijuana is the assassin of youth and should keep their kids away from it. He advertised marijuana to the public as MURDER! INSANITY! and DEATH!. His campaign was a succsess and quickly all states signed it. Federal Government sign a Tax stamp on marijuana where it is illegal to smoke/ have it with out a card, the catch? The government did not pass any cards out making it illegal. Soon to find that most/all soldiers in the vietnam war smoked marijuana. Then Nixon came along and wanted to be noticed as the toughest crime fighter.

Hello
I have set up a petition on the Number 10 Epetition website. It is a challenge to all polititians : PROVE ME WRONG. If you agree with the two statements below please use the link provided to sign up. If you dont believe it please just put ‘the emperor wears no clothes’ into google read the evidence and make an informed decision.
1. The hemp legislation enforced in the world today, and since the 1930’s, has caused more death, destruction and environmental damage than any decision by any politition or humanbeing in history.
2. Putting hemp BACK in its rightful position as humanities number one crop, raw material, fuel, food, and medicine ( as it had been since pre-histiry and in parts since the dawn of mankind), has the very real and possible potential of not just slowing down global warming, but actually REVERSING IT!!!
But how? You ask. Well for a start it is one of the worlds fastest growing plants and produces more fibre, seed/oil, cellulose than any other crop and its a green manure, so it actually puts goodness back into the soil, and needs no fertiliser or pesticide. In 1941 Henry Ford had IN PRODUCTION the worlds first ‘petrol engined’ car; its bodywork, dashboard, seat covers, plastic fittings etc, wre made from hemp and it ran on methanol from hemp. It is the only single plant food source that a humanbeing can live on -indefinitely- and contains all the essential omega’s in the perfect ratio for us!
Too good to be true? Or too good for the oil industry, pharmaceuticals and agro-chemicals, not to want to misinform about, conceal and scapegoat.
Politicians and others in power refuse to address this issue with anything even approaching, honest, informed, rational and balanced intentions and debate. Due to this, it is my intention to continue feeding the birds, best quality cannabis sativa – hemp seed – wherever I go, and to continue to give bags of the seeds to anyone who wants them, to do with them as they will.
Yours Mark A. Chapman
