Getting married in the State of Alaska is comparatively easy and the formalities are less stringent than the other states of US.
Who can get married in in the State of Alaska?
Any one who has completed the age of 18 can get married in Alaska without the consent of their parents; if he or she is below the age of 18,the consent of their parents or guardians is a must; the person who proposed to get married, need not necessarily be a resident of Alaska. However, a married person whose spouse is living cannot get into another contract of marriage. Persons of the same sex, i.e. two gays or two girls, cannot get married. The proposed parties who want to marry should get a valid license, by applying to any country clerk office in Alaska, where they propose to get married. These offices are normally located in the country probate court or circuit court. Divorced persons can also marry.
Persons below the age of 16 are not eligible to get married; however they should get the consent of court, before getting married and if the marriage is unavoidable.
How to get a license for marriage in the State of Alaska?
Before getting married, you should apply for a license of marriage in the requisite form; the form should be accompanied with your ID like the driver’s license;if the form is sent by mail or faxed it should be attested by a Notary Public;the license fee is $ 40; if you are above the age of 18 years, you should have an age proof through a valid birth certificate; you should also furnish the particulars whether you are previously married or divorced; if you had divorced within 60 days of your proposed marriage, you have to submit a valid certified copy of your divorce. If you are below the age of 18, the consent of your parents is necessary; however, if only a father or a mother is your sole guardian, then there must be certified proofs to show that your other parent say mother or father is died or divorced.If you are below the age of 18 but you are serving in the US Army, you need not get the consent of your parents nor they have to accompany you, but a certificate of proof to the effect that you are serving in the army should be furnished to the license issuing authorities.

Similar to Florida only the licence fee is cheaper in Alaska.
