Ignoring Copyright

The risks are high and outweigh the income they generate:

Copyright is a veritable minefield for the unwary, the using of photographs without attributing them to a source risks large claims.     Using characters also which an author, particularly famous living authors, has created is also very dangerous.

It does not matter which country you live or write in, the law particularly law of copyright will still catch up with you should the owner wish to.     This is particularly shown by some of the free download sites for music, where music companies prosecuted individuals who downloaded and shared.    Things like that particularly on Triond, where you are earning money from articles puts you high on the risk ladder.

Very true. Some people seem to think they can avoid consequences though.

If you are going to use somebody else’s content why not give credit to the original content– this is what many people failed to do around here, then no wonder why Google thinks sites like these are the utter crap.

So true Adalie, this short piece stems from two articles i read yesterday one which had 6 or 7 pics that did not belong to the writer but not attributed and the other was well known characters belonging to another author being used in a so called new story.

Keep telling yourselves that if it makes you feel better.
