Legal – Three new evidence at the trial of Kelly Clarke

Ryan Morgan was on the witness stand Monday morning on the fifth day of the trial of Kelly Clarke, accused of the premeditated murder of Joel Labossiere and his wife Magdalena in 2008.

The man said he had met the accused once or twice. He said he was a longtime friend of Steven Solomon, the key witness in the trial has not yet been called to the stand.

Ryan Morgan said he had stolen a car April 18, 2008 for his friend Steven Solomon who was accompanied by Kelly Clarke. He said he had agreed to commit the robbery to thank Steven Solomon for helping him find his niece disappeared.

The witness testified that he received $ 200 for stealing the car, but said he never asked Steven Solomon, Kelly Clarke or what they would do with the car.

Ryan Morgan told the jury he could not confirm who was in the dock was indeed that which accompanied his friend Steven Solomon on April 18.
The murder weapon

A firearms expert also testified. The RCMP officer, Kramer Powley, described the weapon found in the Assiniboine River a few weeks after the two murders.

The agent Powley said the weapon recovered was the same caliber as the cartridges found in the house of Labossiere, but it is impossible to make direct connection with the murder weapon and the weapon recovered, because of her time at the bottom of the river.

The crown called to the bar in the coming days, the witness who helped police find the gun.
Car fire

Finally, the jury also heard testimony from video by Edward Anderson, died in a car accident after having offered his testimony to the police.

A tow truck driver, Edward Anderson, called for reinforcements in April 2008 to help a motorist stuck in a dirt road.

At the scene, he noticed another car parked and saw two men get out and run. The car then caught fire. When police and firefighters on site, it was not in a position to describe individuals.
