Police and Brutality

Police. They’re everywhere. And the scary thing: They are not considered citizens.

            That’s right. Police officers have the right to kill. All they have to do is fill out some paper work, and it’s okay that they killed a young man, for something he might not have even done?

In reality, it is NOT okay.

            See, when you have men/women walking around with a badge and a gun thinking they are better than everyone, you have a serious problem. I’ve come to the realization that we are all endangered. Everyone’s lives, 24/7, are facing a threat in which they cannot control.

                Now, not every police officer is dangerous (and corrupt). Some, are actually awesome human beings.  There are the police officers who are role models for what is good, and what is fair. Unfortunately, those cops are hard to come by in today’s day and age.

                I don’t want people to hear what I’m saying and assume that I, Alexander Joseph Perilli, am a basher, a jerk, and/or a hater. If you think I am any of those things, you are wrong. I am just someone who is being real. I’m just being myself.

                I believe in revolution.  I believe in evolution, as well. I believe that it is our responsibility (the people’s) to take the bad police officers off of these mean streets, and replace them with well minded ones.

                How shall we go about doing this? I don’t know. I really do not. And honestly, I doubt that anybody really does know a way to successfully do that.

                I mean, these cops go through intensive training and police academy. If they are willing to go through the process of becoming a cop, than they must really want to become common defenders of the law. Maybe when they pull over innocent victims, they just want to reach their quota for the end of the month. Maybe their chief decided that they have not had enough arrest slips filed, and threatened their job.
