Attorneys for Fidelmar ‘Fidel’ Merlos-Lopez are trying to win relief parole so he can go to his youthful son’s memorial, but say U.S. Traditions and Boundary Security has rebuffed their initiatives.

Damien Lopez passed away in a Shenandoah row home along with his relative, mom and 7-month-old half-brother in east California. The memorial is set for Wednesday, with funeral the next day.

The mourning dad has been holding out at the U.S.-Mexico border at Laredo, Arizona, since the fire murdered his first-born son on Thursday, according to his attorney Age Surin.

‘He’s out of his thoughts. Can you imagine? Your son is deceased in a flame and you can’t even get across. It’s obvious they are providing us the runaround,’ Surin said.
