Restoring Your Drivers License After a DUI or DWI in Bradford County, PA

Get informed on what you need to do to restore your driving privilege’s after a DUI or DWI, with form numbers and more.

Depending on the length of time that you have lost your drivers license and depending on rather it is your first offense, second offense, third or so on.

If it is your first offense you will more than likely be accepted on the ARD program, You will be assigned a random number through the probation office, if that number is called you will have to go for a random drug test at your expense. Each time your number is called while you are on probation you must go and be tested, you will be charged for every test you have to take, this amount will be added to your fines that you owe at the Court House.

For Second Offense DUI or DWI

Once you have been through the Court System, sentenced, attended safe driving school and completed all that was ask of you by the court.

You are ready to restore your driving privileges.

If this is anything other than your first offense you  MUST have your fines paid in full before you will be allowed to start this process!

Once your fines are paid in full you will need to ask for an application for restoration of operating privileges. You get this at the Court House!

This application must be signed by (you the defendant) also by the (Bradford County Collection Department) (The Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program Service Provider) (the Attorney for the Commonwealth of PA) and by the Court.

You will also need to enclose an application for the Ignition Interlock license/return of regular drivers license. Form # DL-3731. Along with a check or money order in the amount of $10.00.This signed form is then sent to the Department of Transportation.

You will then receive a letter from the Department of Transportation informing you that they received your information, they will also send you a Restoration Requirement letter telling you what you still may need to do in order  to complete the process and restore your license.

If you choose to wave one more year of driving privileges so you do not have to put a very costly Ignition Interlock Device on your vehicle then you must be sure to get the Ignition Interlock License Application form, fill it out and send the application along with a check or money order in the amount of $66.00 to PennDot, Bureau of Driver Licensing P.O. Box 68693 Harrisburg, PA 17106-8693. You will also need this form even if you choose to not wave the year and put the Interlock Device on your vehicle.
